About Long Beach BLAST (Better for All Students Today)

Long Beach BLAST provides services to youth through two programs: The Academic Mentoring Program provides one on one academic college mentors from Cal State Long Beach, Cal State Dominguez Hills and Long Beach City College to youth referred by Teachers, Counselors and Principals and provide academic support, social emotional support and highlight the importance of growth mindset. The Bridge to Success Program: Long Beach BLAST is partnered with all three continuation high schools in Long Beach, BLAST offers workshops to students in areas of: career/college exploration, growth mindset, short and long term goal setting, college and financial aid application process, provide workforce development opportunities, mentoring and provide youth with self- care tips and resources.
